JOB DESCRIPTION: Residential Solar Power Sales Representative

LOCATION: East Los Angeles County

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Qualify leads.
  • Qualify installation site.
  • Design and sell residential solar electric system.
  • Provide operations with the necessary information to complete the installations.
  • Provide customer service for residential solar electric system clients, including general information, referrals, quotations and problem solving.
  • Stay abreast of solar incentives and rebate guidelines.
  • Facilitate necessary paperwork for sold systems
  • Improve product knowledge and application.
  • Provide constructive input in technical and operational matters.
  • Participate in weekly sales meetings.
  • Maintain harmonious inter-department communications.
  • Meet and exceed sales quotas
  • Execute marketing strategy as requested.
  • Stay abreast of competitive knowledge in the marketplace
  • Provide 24 hour response time to customer inquiries.
  • Prioritize work with input from division manager.
  • Act as the customer service liaison during the installation
  • Review residential system quotes with Director of Sales prior where special pricing is needed
  • Track prospective customers and follow-up with past buyers.
  • Available to work weekends.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-2 years previous in-home sales experience
  • Own vehicle and have clean driving record
  • BS or equivalent Degree from an accredited University
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Above average writing skills
  • Assertive, self-motivated, and willing to provide solutions to challenges
  • Ability to work with limited supervision
  • Enthusiasm and organization are paramount to success

Compensation:

  • $35,000 base salary
  • Commission
  • Expense Account

JOB DESCRIPTION: Marketing Coordinator Real Goods/Solar Division

LOCATION: San Rafael, CA

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and implementation of Marketing programs in support of solar sales set forth by Director of Marketing and Director of Sales--- from public relations, special events and press releases to website updates and customer referral programs. Also maintains marketing assets and outreach materials. Reports to Director of Marketing, and maintains consultative relationship with regional Solar Energy Consultants.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create & maintain marketing/event/ad calendar
  • Update, create, or maintain all internet & print listings
  • Maintain and/or revise promotional marketing materials
  • Maintain all promotional apparel (hats, shirts, etc.)
  • Coordinate media relations and electronic press kit
  • Coordinate space advertising as needed
  • Create/maintain marketing collateral archive binder
  • Help implement branding across all materials (logo consistency, look/feel)
  • Maintain website content
  • Create/maintain sales “look book”
  • Maintain sales materials
  • Maintain customer referral program
  • Assist in direct mailings – Zip files, drops, printing, design, etc
  • Coordinate annual Marketing Meeting
  • Maintain invoicing for Co-op advertising programs
  • Maintain installation portfolio and testimonials
  • Coordinate trade shows and special events
  • Order products and assemble gift bags for contracted clients
  • Attend events and conferences as needed
  • Maintain library of customer testimonials
  • Other duties as required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 3 years experience with computer skills in Excel, Word, and Power Point programs. Excellent phone and communications skills; self-motivated; good inter-personal and organizational skills; creativity; ability to stay on track and multi-task; reliable in meeting deadlines; customer service/marketing experience of at least one year. Training in artistic design and layout a plus.
