What Does “Clean” Mean?
The average household contains three to 25 gallons of toxic materials − and ironically, most of these are in the products we use to get our home “clean.” Common cleaners are made with a staggering array of suspected carcinogens, ingredients that break down into even more toxic compounds, and chemicals so dangerous they’re associated with Superfund sites.
Unfortunately, the makers of cleaning products aren’t required to list the ingredients on labels or test their products for safety. It’s up to you to make sure cleaning your home isn’t worse than leaving it dirty.
Opt for cleaners that specifically say they’re eco-friendly, biodegradable, nontoxic or safer for your health. These products are usually labeled with the formula’s ingredients − even though this isn’t required by law.
Our customers and staff continually confirm that the formulas we offer here, made from naturally powerful cleaning agents such as citrus and vinegar, work just as hard as harmful chemicals − without endangering your health or the planet’s.
