The brains of your Outback system. The Mate is a complete system controller and monitor for your Outback inverter and charge controller. It provides a complete display of normal operations, plus it gives you the ability to control and adjust any setpoints or modes of operation. It will coordinate the operation of the entire system for maximum performance, and will prevent multiple products from conflicting with each other. The 4-line, 80-character backlit display allows multiple measurements to be displayed with minimal confusing abbreviations. All programmed setpoints are stored in permanent memory, so there’s no loss or reprogramming required after a system shutdown or battery replacement. A real-time clock allows inverter programming based on time of use electric rates. Two-wire generator start/stop control can be based on battery voltage and/or time. An opto-isolated RS232 port and DB9 jack will connect to the serial port of a PC computer. Windows based data logging software will be available separately from third party developers. A single Mate will connect with a single inverter or charge control. The Hub option 25814 (sold separately) allows a single Mate to interact with up to 10 appliances via standard Cat 5 cable with RJ45 connectors. (Commonly available as Ethernet cable.) The Hub is a printed circuit board that mounts inside the Outback AC enclosure. The Hub will also support a second Mate with monitoring capabilities only. Mates can be up to 300-feet from the Hub.
