They are completely maintenance-free, with no spills or fumes. Because the electrolyte is gelled, no stratification occurs, and no equalization charging is required. Self-discharge is under 2% per month. May be airline transported as approved by DOT (Department of Transportation), ICAO (International Commercial Airline Organization), and IATA (International Airline Transport Association). Get the longest life from deep-cycle batteries by keeping the state of charge at 60% or more for wet cell and 70% or more for gel cells. For accrate volt readings, don't charge or discharge batteries for two hours.
