These batteries are excellent "trainer" batteries for folks new to battery storage systems. First-time users are bound to make a few mistakes as they learn the capabilities and limitations of their systems. These are true deep cycle batteries and will tolerate many 80% cycles without suffering unduly. Even with all the millions of dollars spent on battery research, conventional wisdom still indicates that these lead-acid "golf cart" batteries are the most cost-effective solution to battery storage. Because of the relatively low cost these batteries are hard to beat for small to medium sized systems. Typical life expectancy is approximately three to five years. 1 Year Manufacturers warranty. Get the longest life from deep-cycle batteries by keeping the state of charge at 60% or more for wet cell and 70% or more for gel cells. For accrate volt readings, don't charge or discharge batteries for two hours.
