The reliable, UL-listed MorningStar TriStar Controller can provide either solar charging, load control, or diversion regulation for 12, 24, or 48 volt systems. Features include reverse polarity protection, short circuit protection, lightning protection, high temperature current reduction, 4-stage battery charging, simple DIP switch controlled voltage set point setup, large 1" / 1.25" knockouts on bottom, sides, and back, with extra wire bending room and terminals that accept up to #2 AWG wire. In Load Control or Diversion mode the controller will allow up to 300 amp inrush currents to start motors or warm up cold resistive loads without the electronic short circuit protection interfering.The optional 2-line, 16-character Digital Meter may be mounted to the controller in place of the cover plate, or remotely in a standard double-gang box using standard RJ-11 connectors (ethernet cables). Displays all system information, self-test results, and setpoints with intuitive up/down and left/right scrolling buttons. The Remote Temperature Sensor option with 10 meter cable will automatically adjust voltage setpoints, and is recommended if your batteries will routinely be exposed to temperatures under 40°F or over 80°F. CE and UL listed. 5 year mfg. warranty. USA.
