Rated at a healthy 5,000 watts, this single compact outdoor-rated unit for solar-electric intertie with battery backup converts PV energy to conventional AC power. If extra PV energy is available, it will be credited to your utility meter. During utility outages, the M5 will instantly switch to battery power to keep the furnace and fridge running. Three ground fault-protected 50-amp PV input breakers with the Maximum Power Point Tracking control will extract the maximum amount of energy.
